Epson has loaded the Stylus Pro 7880 full of features and new breakthrough technologies including Colorburst RIP imaging. And with the Epson Stylus Pro 7880 ink cartridges containing UltraChrome K3 with vivid magenta pigments, projects will have photorealistic quality and resistance to many harmful elements. This printer can create stunning, 24 inch wide printouts which are ideal for making posters, brochures, menus, and other business materials.
The printer will need plenty of room being 46 inches wide, 30 inches in depth, and 46 inches in height and creating printouts that can stretch out from the printer up to the desired length of the project being printed. The Epson Stylus Pro 7880 with Colorburst RIP can handle media rolls with a 2 inch and 3 inch cores. The paper rolls loaded onto this machine can be a maximum of 12 pounds in weight.
The printer contains 8 individual Epson Stylus Pro 7880 ink cartridges giving users control of ink replacement procedures, only having to replace the color that runs low or out. Each cartridge uses drop-on-demand technology and inkjet print heads with Advanced MicroPiezo technology and Active Meniscus Control. The MicroPiezo technology will control the size of each droplet and the Active Meniscus Control will shape each individual droplet for ultimate ink precision.
This machine can produce up to 2.565 square meters per minute which is around 8.42 square feet per minute using draft quality settings. When adjusted to print with the highest quality settings, the Epson Stylus Pro 7880 with Colorburst RIP will create a 16 inch x 20 inch project in about 12 minutes and 57 seconds. Projects will have maximum resolutions up to 2880 x 1440 dpi. Additionally, the print heads have an ink repelling coating to drastically reduce nozzle clogging.
