PROBLEM:
Prints Only White Page
Likely Cause
1. Tape has not been removed from printhead.
2. Air may be trapped inside cartridge.
Action:
1. Ensure tape covering printhead has been removed.
2. Wrap the cartridge in an absorbent paper towel and shake
lightly.
PROBLEM:
White Lines and Streaks
Likely Cause
1. Printer contacts may be worn or dirty.
2. Printhead may be partially clogged.
Action:
1. Moisten a nonabrasive towel; gently wipe printer contacts.
Avoid touching contacts with your fingers.
2. Soak the printhead in warm water for 5 minutes. Blot printhead
with a nonabrasive towel. Reinstall and use printer cleaning
cycle.
PROBLEM: Leaking Cartridge
Likely Cause
1. Internal pressure is unbalanced.
Action:
1. Rest cartridge (printhead down) on paper towel and allow excess
ink to balance.
PROBLEM: Color Mixing / Cross Contamination
Likely Cause
1. One color bled into another.
Action:
1. Set cartridge (printhead down) onto folded, moistened paper
towel for 5 minutes, then reinsert into printer.
PROBLEM: Generally Poor Print Quality
Likely Cause
1. Paper fiber and/or debris buildup in the cartridge carriage.
Action:
1. Refer to printer user guide to run routine cleaning cycles.
Recommend routine maintenance of printer to maintain peak performance
and prevent debris buildup.
PROBLEM: Cartridge Not Registering
Likely Cause
1. Printer or computer is not recognizing the cartridge.
Action:
1. Verify that tape is removed from the printhead.
2. Gently wipe cartridge printhead and printer circuitry with
a nonabrasive towel to ensure there is no debris.
3. Turn printer off. Unplug power cord and other cables. Wait
30 seconds. Plug cords and cables back in.
