One of the fastest professional desktop printers in the industry, the Epson Stylus Pro 4880 will be able to create an 8” x 10” photograph with 2880 dpi resolutions in 3 minutes and 54 seconds. This printer is intended for the professional photographer or photo enthusiast looking to create the highest quality portraits and images possible in a timely manner. There are 8 separate pigment-based Epson Stylus Pro 4880 Portrait Edition Inks that are inserted into the printer at one time for a more precise color gamut and truer black tones.
The printer contains Advanced MicroPiezo Technology accompanied with Enhanced Active Meniscus Control (AMC) technology. The MicroPiezo print heads will put out some of the smallest and most accurately placed droplets while the AMC technology precisely controls the curvature of each droplet within the nozzle before releasing it onto the media. The Epson Stylus Pro 4880 also comes with Epson PreciseColor Manufacturing which means the experts at Epson calibrate each printer on a colorimetric scale for optimal performance and color output before sending them out to the users.
The printer is also capable of printing off both left and right edges of the media and has a convenient cutter that will automatically trim the top and bottom of projects for true borderless printing. The Epson Stylus Pro 4880 Ink Cartridges are comprised with UltraChrome K3 inks with vivid magenta giving each pigmented particle a high-gloss Microcrystal Encapsulation for superior scratch resistance, extended lightfastness, and better light reflection for denser and richer colors.
The Epson Stylus Pro 4880 is a 17 inch wide format printer with up to 250 sheets of paper carrying capacity. The printer can also adjust to accept 2 inch and 3 inch media roll spindles for larger projects. The printer will create printouts in sizes up to 17 inches by 22 inches. And to reduce maintenance, the print heads are coated with an ink repelling technology to reduce nozzle clogging.
The Epson Stylus Pro Portrait Edition ink cartridges have 3 levels of black inks and 5 different color ink levels. The printer uses a Black Epson T565100 or T606100 ink, a light black T565700 or T606700 ink, and a light light black T565900 or T606900 ink cartridge which significantly improves the printer’s gray balance for a smoother tonal range. The printer also uses 5 individual color ink cartridges including the T565200 or T606200 cyan inks, the T565300 of T606300 magenta inks, the T565400 or T606400 yellow inks, the T565500 or T606500 light cyan inks, and the T565600 or T606600 light magenta ink cartridges. The Remanufactured inkjets will meet or exceed the OEM / Genuine page yield while maintaining the chemical integrity of the more expensive name-brand products.
